Another Chance Dog Rescue
Where every dog has its day!
Saving dogs for the people who love them in Alabama and New England for over a decade, Another Chance Dog Rescue was founded by Connie Jones, an independent rescuer all her life, turned rescue partner with Last Chance in 2009, and later registering the foster based charity that means to much to her and the animals in our care.
While managing a team of foster families and rescuing nearly every dog in our care, you'll always find Connie fostering dogs herself. Connie is known to trap a fearful dog on Thursday and that same dog will be sleeping with Connie's dogs by the weekend! Connie has humanely trapped over two dozen feral dogs (some with litters) who are wonderful family pets today.
Tiger Lily on her way home.
Tiger Lily had been left on the corner of a rural country highway in Chilton County AL. By the time Connie and Tracie saw her, she was terrified and behaving aggressively. She had to protect herself, after all. They returned with a trap the following morning and trapped Tiger Lilly! Three days later and Tiger Lilly was sharing beds with the other dogs in Connie's pack! She found her forever home with two other dogs in Pelham AL!
Fostering Saves Lives!
Another Chance Dog Rescue is a foster based organization rescuing hundreds of dogs every year with the help of about a dozen full-time foster families. Every foster home means another life saved. We couldn't do this important work without Alana and Randy of McCalla, Anna, Joe and Harrison of Vestavia Hills, the Hernandez family in Adamsville, the Ray family in Vestavia Hills, Carmen and Linda in Alabaster, Elaine in Alabaster, Shelby and Katherine of Alabaster, and the many fosters who have helped us save dogs over the years fostering once or twice. Please consider joining our team and let us help you to become a fabulous foster! We do everything we can to make your job as easy as possible.
